KIDDERPORE CHILD’S WORLD ENGLISH MEDIUM SCHOOL, Kolkata, has been founded keeping in mind the needs of the world today while keeping our students in touch with their culture and tradition. The school was established in the year 2006 with only Nursery and Pre-Primary classes. Now, the school has expanded its functioning up to standard VIII. This has been possible only with the dedicated efforts of Mrs. Shahnaz Hossain, President of our School Managing Committee, Mr. Md. Zoheb Hossain, Hony. Secretary & Administrator, our experienced staff members, particularly our former principal Mrs. S. M. Shami and the support and cooperation of parents

Since inception, the school has developed a lot in terms of infrastructure as well as method of teaching and is still developing. Very soon the school will be upgraded to Secondary Level (Standard X).

The school is registered under West Bengal Societies Registration Act XXVI 1961with Registration No. S/1L/65027. Application for recognition as Private Unaided School under West Bengal State Education Department (WBSED), Govt. of West Bengal has been submitted and is under process. Inspection has been done by Inspector of Schools.

Our aim is to expose our students to challenging and thought provoking experiences which facilitate much needed cognitive development along with building a well rounded personality. The field of teaching is being constantly revolutionized by research that brings forth various methods of teaching. We try to evaluate all emerging methods and design our method as a healthy blend of techniques that we believe will bring out the best in each student. We strongly believe in retaining the fun of learning instead of making education a burden to the child. Two (2) seats has been reserved for physically handicapped students in each class.

Apart from providing essential primary education, we also organize Drawing Competitions, Quiz Contests, Dance Competitions, other Cultural programmes periodically to uplift the competitive spirit of our students. We also invite students from other schools to take part in these activities.

Every year we distribute free books and stationery to the poor and needy students of our school as well as our locality with the aim of setting an example of being a socially responsible citizen. We will also be starting evening classes for poor and underprivileged students of our locality shortly. Our teachers are very approachable and friendly. They are all trained to make classes interesting and interactive with numerous classroom activities and observational learning models. They are all loving and caring and take great efforts in re-creating a homely atmosphere. Patience and compassion are qualities we highly regard in our staff. Our student teacher ratio is also at an optimum level so that each child gets personal attention and personalized study schedules can be created for them. We conduct regular parent teacher interactions so that as parents, you can be in constant touch with your child’s progress, and so that we can help you guide your child better at home as well.
